Caransa Groep is developing the largest datacentre in Amsterdam on its own land in the Westelijk Havengebied (Western Harbour Area). To realise this 100,000 m2 datacentre, which will be built adjacent to the Telegraaf Media Groep head office, the real estate owner and developer has joined forces with the most important stakeholders in the area of energy, connectivity, and sustainability, including technical service provider USG Engineering Professionals (the binding element between people, knowledge, and networks). The plans are also very much in line with municipal policy focusing on sustainable data centres. Combined, the parties involved in the project have both the expertise and the experience to build highly energy-efficient Tier 3 and Tier 4 datacentres. Construction is scheduled to start at the end of 2017.
